Kim Makonnen
Kim was born in Cincinnati, OH. She has lived in Bowling Green, OH where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She also lived in North Dakota for approximately fifteen years where she earned her online Master of Arts Degree in Human Service Counseling with a cognate in Addictions and Recovery from Liberty University. Over the years, she has worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor as she continues to do so.
Kim is a self-taught artist and has been drawing since her teenage years. She is a charcoal and colored pencil artist, but also uses graphite pencil. She did attend Art Instruction School later in life and she is a Grumbacher Certified Art Instructor. She has mostly participated with Fredericksburg Center for Creative Arts Gallery and The City of Fredericksburg Fine Art Show.
Kim is inspired by beautiful landscapes, the ocean, nature, animals and miscellaneous.
