Maria Briganti was born in Austria, where the fine arts are encouraged and where she was exposed to many famous painters works at an early age. She moved to the USA in with her parents in her teens. Several years ago, Maria returned to her art studies and was a member with the ArtBeat Gallery in Manassas for 15 years.

 

She exhibits mostly in the Northern Virginia and the Washington DC area. Her miniatures are in several exhibits: Carolina, Pennsylvania and Nevada and Washington State.   

Her favorite painting mediums are oil and pastels. Her main interests include plein air painting or still lifes.

 

She has studied the old master techniques and studied portraiture with various professional artists. Maria also does pet and house portraits and special commissions for her clients.
