11x14x1.5 Acrylic painting on Gallery Wrapped Canvas. Based on Virginia Bluebells found around our area - as those flowers love to have their roots in wet, muddy areas found near streams that flood often.

The Prince William Art Society (PWAS) has attended the Bluebell Festival at Merrimac Farm the last couple of years and I loved being a part of that experience.  I took LOTS of pictures and had a wonderful time talking to all the visitors, seeing the works of the PWAS Plein Air Posse artists, and 'manning' the PWAS booth! People LOVED seeing the art group's bluebell paintings most especially.

I was so inspired that I went home and did a series of bluebell paintings in various sizes. The trees just starting to bloom and the blue sky above with the bluebells below are such an experience.
