Most of my artwork is related to what I see around me “in the moment”. I love walking, hiking, gardens, and travel. This will often inspire an idea for a painting. I feel that watercolor is a wonderful medium for these subjects. The translucent nature and glow of watercolor is lovely to work with and for me, helps to create the image I am trying to achieve in my artwork.

My preferred medium was Pen & Ink/ Charcoal ( I have a Technical Graphic Arts Degree).  I began using watercolors over 8 years ago (I love it!). I have studied at the loft in Occoquan, VA, and The Workhouse Arts Center In Lorton, VA, taking many workshops to understand my new medium.  I have been a vendor at The Workhouse Arts Center with my business “Green Lady Art” which you can find on Etsy at www.etsy.com/shop/Greenladyart .

 

I was a member of “The Artists Undertaking Gallery” in Occoquan, VA for two years 2021-2023 as well as a Co-chair for the gallery from 2022-2023. I look forward to growing as an artist and being a member of PWAS.
